problems with my door locks (discovery 1)

hi i own a 1998ndiscovery 1 i fitted new springs in 2 door locks which worked before but now it will not lock with the key fob but locks ok with the key
When using the button on the fob to lock the doors and unlock the doors i have fitted new battery in the key fob but still got same problem also doors lock from inside ok hope somebody can help .
Also how do you set front door lock actuators

Sounds like the thingy in the roof that receives the signal from the key fob, can't remember the technical term for it!

receiver, not so technical.

Can't remember what it stands for, but it takes the signal from the fob and passes it on to the BCU or whatever that then unlocks the doors.

I have done more than a few times in the past both questions have been asked many times over the years starting with the early RR.

So when did LR start installing a remote receive above the head lining in D1s ? Or BCUs for that matter.

So where is the wretched thing then? I must admit to confusing D1s with D2s all the time, though! and it isn't above the headlining, even i know that, By "in the roof" I just meant "above head height".
