My front calipers have seized this year too! Ref rear brakes. You should let off the handbrake adjust the shoes correctly then the handbrake!

Yeah I just thought it was a case of tightening the handbrake n that's that, but how wrong was I! Anyway it's in the garage now so all will b sorted hopefully:eek:

Thanks for the input lads.

I find it easier to get the rear shoes spot on adjusted by taking the drums off and clicking up the ratchet wheel one click at a time till they are just touching.
It involves slipping the drums on and off each click, but it's far easier than fiddling with a screwdriver through that little hole at the back.
I also take the opportunity to check that everything is free and apply a little copper grease to all the moving and sliding parts.

Singvogel.

Well car came out of garage on Wednesday n all is now good, I've just been there and back to leeds from Wiltshire and it didn't batter an eyelid.

Leeds to Salisbury via London, 303 miles, 5 hours, half a tank (brimmed to half), not a bad effort me thinks.

Now for to service.

Oh and it was the brake switch that was causing the 2amigos, which I think we new anyway.
