Problem with left indicator

I thought the relay was on its way out ie the one mounted in the fuse board under the steering wheel but it's not argh! The relay definitely works as tried it on the right hand circuit. The indicator light flashes on the dashboard however the relay remains silent. I have tested the bulbs and all seems fine and looked at the fuses too. I have read somewhere to bypass wires located at the hazard switch but they were not the same colour as mine. Also I do have leaky sunroofs so not ruling damp out but would like to know where to start. Thanks jeremy

Sorry should have stated it is a 1999 td5 auto

As your indicators use two relays have you checked the LH side one or reversed both?

Bought a new one and it works fine on the right side. Tried the right one on the left side and still the same fault.
