Hi I have a Range Rover l322 2006 all has been fine , went out the other day went to put foot on brake pedal and the pedal was hard and the car instantly stopped thought it was out so turned round to go home and I had all lights come up on dash board which were the ABS, parking light, a yellow one with a exclamation mark in it , parked up could smell like burning . Hubby went out in it on night time and it was ok drive okay pedal was fine . Few days later hubby went back out in it same happened to him . I’ve had AA out to it and the diagnostic machine wasn’t picking anything up . Is there anyone with any ideas what it could be at all thanks .

possibly your master cylinder is kapuut,
it could be too much fluid, jamming calipers or a few things
go for a drive about and feel the temperature of your wheels as close to the brakes as poss, they should all feel the same but if one is hotter then you may have a jamming caliper and its boiling the fluid,
these tips are general and not land rover specific,
an easy m/cylinder check is next time it is jammed try loosening/cracking the line out of the m.cvlinder.
good luck
