Problem getting worse

Morning guys.

Thanks again to everyone for contributing and helping/advising. Had the rocker cover off and yep, oil in the loom. Given it a good clean and gave it a spin and it felt like it was driving normal again. The oil hasn't travelled along into the plug which is a good sign. I'm off to pick up another one today and will get my legend of a mechanic to fit it for me this eve.

Let's hope this solves everything for the time being.

Thanks again guys. I'll keep you all updated on and news..

Quick update. Motor fired up fine this morning but then decided not to start on after I'd begun my second journey.

The new injector loom hasn't been fitted yet so I'm hoping the seals on the original loom seeped in over night after I'd put the motor away. Mechanic coming this evening to fit new loom.

Watch this space..

Unfortunately it may not be a good sign because if the oil has NOT travelled down to the ECU then this isn't your problem. You take the red plug off the ECU to check harness oil bypass not the rocker cover.

Hmm any other suggestions? I'm coming to the end of my tether

Even if the loom doesn't fix it, it's basically a service item so worth doing regardless. Finding someone who can read codes should be next step if there's still a problem

So..
The loom didn't fix it. BUT, there's hope. After a couple of hours tracing and looking at the wiring..there seems to be a bit of a dodgy wire going into the ECU. It's extremely temperamental so will see how I get on tomorrow and keep you all posted..

Bloody thing!!
