Private message question

Firstly bound to be in wrong section but I couldn't find where to put it

I've had many a chat with peeps on here in the private message section, I have always replied to their comments but my sent items box remains empty [my inbox is half full

]

Why is there nothing in my sent items box?

Also I reply to a new message [tagged on the bottom of the conversation] and once I've pushed send what I said has disappeared, no record of it anywhere unless it's replied to again and then it shows as part of the conversation.

I know it's me [that age] but why nothing in the sent items? and when replying in the quick reply area, no record of what I've sent

'tis a setting, changed mine the other day.
Click 'User CP' at the top of the page on the menu bar
Click 'Edit Options' on the menu bar running down the left of that page
About half way down the page, tick the following box:

When sending private messages the forum can make a copy of the message in your Sent Items folder.
Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default

Can I ask another question?

I know that a member sent me a PM last week - said so in the thread - but it didn't show up. Yesterday I found the notification of it in my spam box!! BUT, why did it not say that I had a message in the usual place on the LZ site??

I think there were a couple of people with this issue the other day. I remember seeing another member post about this.

Isolated incident?

PS: Sound bar is brilliant, say thanks to hubby for me.
