Prices!

Hi all, owned a disco 2 td5 2 years ago which i bought for 1500 and sold for 1700
Wanted to get another but having looked online, they're 3 or 4k now
What am I missing!?
Or am I looking in the wrong places?

New ones are expensive failures, so the older ones become more valuable.

Current market is just mad price wise, it might even be the new normal.
It was the same years ago when the td5 became available price wise to the enthusiast, the price of late 300tdi went very high as people scared of the td5s tech, now the same people are scared of the d3/4/rr.

Last beam axle Disco and cheapest beam axle land rover. Because 90/110 have gone mad and D1s all dissolved, us unwashed have one choice for a proper landy really, so there is lots of competition for the good ones. Also so many have rotted or been abused in pay and play sites, again tidy ones do fetch decent money.
