Yu do know the panels are an aluminium alloy, Don't you? Sand Blasting is deffo not a good idea. Try nitromors or similar.

As RH has pointed out Ally is too soft and sand is too coarse. You can use plastic beads instead or if you are lucky a good high pressure Pressure Washer with a spin head will lift paint.
And then etch primer? Will it work over paint? (need to repaint bits of mine soon so am interested)

You only need to sand it down enough so theres a good key for primer..then paint.Dead easy..3 day job for a complete 90 including taking the fittings off. I did mine with a compressor but you can use rollers..depends how good a finish you want...i gave it 3 coats.
Cheers for all the help guys! What would be the best way to sand the body work down then? and storm90 i don't suppose you've got a picture to show me what sort of a finish you got using three coats? i want a good finish on my landrover so would be interested to see.
