Hi can anyone tell me if pre facelift headlights and indicators will fit a 03 facelift disco thats had its lights and grille stolen which i have just bought! And was thinking of buying the old style headlamps and indicators and sticking them in?
Cheers lee

I know of one member on here who has changed his FL to fit the old style headlights.
not sure how difficult it was.

Cheers

I know what you mean brian, its just teading all the stories of them getting nicked am i better off putting pre facelift headlights in this 03 discovery i have just bought on ebay, because unless there is a sure fire way of securing them there going to get nicked like everyone else's

@leeby7

I hear what you are saying, Which is why I made a couple of security bars to at least make the hoodlums look for an easier set to knick.
@brian47 has a set he purchased , painted and fit from a supplier a while ago.

Cheers

Yes, I know that the facelift headlights aren't cheap, so you want to hang on to them.
The first thing to say is that those horror stories, bad as they are by people who have had their lights stolen, and not the people who haven't. For every set of headlights that has been knicked, there's at least a dozen sets which have been left in peace.
I don't think the security bars I fitted to mine are still available, that's why @neilly made his own. Mine are something like 3/16 or 1/4 inch stainless steel bar which is hooked behind the front bumper at the bottom and bolted to the scuttle under the bonnet at the top.
Everyone says they're easy to get passed with a pair of bolt croppers, but I've yet to see anybody hanging around looking suspicious with their hood pulled up and a pair of bolt croppers sticking out of his a*se pocket.
Back to your current problem, I would say that you might be worrying a bit too much, and for the work involved, you'd be better off replacing the headlights and grille with facelift parts.
