My mates just replaced his loom as his D2 (2003/15P) was running rough and sure enough oil in the red plug. He changed it for an Allmakes PR2 one (AMR6103G) and it was ok for a few days but now back to how it was. No oil in the plugs (or the ECU) but I’m wondering if PR2 “OEM Quality” isn’t all that after some recent posts about the MAF.

Anyone have experience of Allmakes PR2 Injector Looms?

I have seen that few times, same situation like with the MAF or other parts involved in management/fuelling, only Genuine LR is reliable, 'OEM quality' means exactly nothing, some of the looms even OEM Leoni failed in less than 6 months as they leaked oil already others were good.. which reinforces my theory that aftermarket/OEM = lottery...though even if aftermarket looms are not the best to last just few days would be a shame or lot of bad luck.

tell your friend to keep cleaning the red plug untill all the oil leaves the harness cos it might be that the residual oil ingressed the red plug again hence the rough running . .. a live data log would be good to see the injector roughnesses to make sure it's not something else
