Powering Electric seats in Low Line BCM car

Just noticed that although I registered ages ago this is my first post. Hello everyone - unbeknown to you your passed threads have helped me out loads in the passed.

I know this has been done in the passed as Big-Al-Cove seemed to have some success with it. Im trying to fit an all electric Vouge leather interior into a DT with manual seats and a lowline BeCM so I do not have a loom in place to power them.

I still have the Vogue that the interior came out of so if any part of the loom is required I can take what ever is required.

I may be drastically under estimating this job and no doubt someone is going to suggest getting a manually adjusted set of seats which is a great idea, I just havent seen any as tidy as the electric ones I have at the moment.

What I want to know is how do you make them work?

Think you need a Highline BCEM, Irish rover can answer this best.

Yes.."H" Becm and the loom from the ECU inside the seat base frame to the Becm. The seat function does not need to be programmed into the Becm, it's already there....BUT..the "H" line Becm will need to be "Cloned" to your car. Your extrnal mirrors however will not work on the seat memory function as they will be Non Memory

So how do I go about cloning the H line BeCM to my car?

Will I then just be able to plug the seats in?

Depending where you live, you can either arrange to get it done locally by someone local to you with the software or post both Becm's to them.

Is Rick the Pick down on the south coast somewhere- Brighton perhaps?

If so it was he who started me thinking about the possibility of leaving the L line in place and getting power from a live feed on the fuse board under the seat. This concept became all the more enticing after reading big al coves post about doing exactly that.

I suspect, however, that cloning may be the simpler solution for me as electrics have never been my strong point.

Still got the kit etc. until 6th October, after then it will be in Bonnie Scotland with a new owner who I hope carries on with helping people out.

Strangely enough the 6th October will be the next opportunity I have to start fitting the new interior.

Any idea what I should expect to pay for "cloning"?
