Power steering

Hi - Does any body know what year the defender 110 was first fitted with power steering? I am guessing mid 80's but i'm not sure. Any thoughts?

i got a 1986 LR 90 and that hasnt got power steering, doesn't really need it i think

Do you think a 1988 110 would have it or not?

I've got a 1988 90, and it doesn't have it. I think they started fitting them as standard in 1990 when the defender came out. I do believe, but correct me if I'm wrong, that power steering was factory fitted to _some_ of the 90's and 110's in the 80's.

My 1989 110 has power steering, last year of 90/110 2.5td before defender 200tdi
