Power Steering Pump Issue

Ok I finally got around to replacing my leaking pump.

I have a 200tdi defender and the pump I bought (some fair time ago) was described as being the correct one.

However I am left with the high presure pipe having a female end at the pump and the pump (which I now realise is not the correct unit - probably a disco one) also having a female outlet!

I would think I just need a male - male union and happy days.

can anyone please help. I have no idea what the sizes are (though both pipe and pump look the same) or where I can get hold of such a union.

Take a sample of the threads required into a hydraulic shop and they will sort you out, or measure the thread and work out what it is, will be a standard size.

found a local "hydralic shop". just a numpty in there though!

I have a horrible feeling.

Can anyone tell me which way a V8 rotates (looking from the front)?
