Power steering heavy and not self centering

Hey all,

Ive searched the forum but havent yet come up with an answer. Just recently my power steering in my 87 plate 90 200tdi conversion (disco i think) has become rather heavy and isnt self centering. I can literally turn the wheel and it will stay there. Checked the fluid level and theres plenty, liberally sprayed the UJ's on the steering with WD40 type stuff and ive tried turning lock to lock a few times incase the system needed bled but its still the same.

Startint to get quite a pain so any help would be welcome.

you will have to jack front wheels up and remove drag link at swivel housing ,to find whether its tight in the swivels or box ,the ujs can seize up

Thanks James, ill try that tonight and hopefully that will shed some light on the problem.

Depending on what it is what will i have to sort/replace? Ive only had my 90 a few months now and its my first Landy so im still new to this game and learning as i go
