As said above, was unde the bonnet today with the engine running, and the fluid in the power steering/cornering reservoir seemed to be bubbling. I tried to dampen it from vibrations to see if this was the cause, but definitely seemed to be very turbulent in there.

Is this normal? Or is there an expensive problem?

If everything is workig and the turbulence is the same in both compartments(ACE/PAS) of the reservoir then just forget about it......it's from the vibrations a kind of ripple effect.......same does mine and no probs.

Thanks mate, I'll relax now. Last time I saw something like that the head gasket had gone on an old Rover!!!

....i suppose the ripples were within the cooling fluid reservoir then...not in the ACE;)........any way if u want to cool down for good then u could check the pulleys of the pumps or the pumps themselves.......the vibration traveles from the pumps too untill the reservoir..........they mus'nt vibrate too hard....as i said mine is doing it too but not so hard to scare me.

I asked the same question about a month ago. You gave the same answer. Cant you start your own site? Called newbie questions. You would be a cult symbol for all newbies.
