Got a vibration on the overrun on my 1996 300tdi 90.
The front prop has been off a couple of times, and I have set the phasing properly which helped a lot, the UJ's seem fine but there is a bit of play in the slider. The 90 is slightly lifted due to HD springs, and there is no evidence of the props binding.
I haven't driven it with either of the props removed as the problem is intermittent.
My main thought is it may be the wear in the slider causing a wobble. Is there any play in these from new or is it new prop time.
If it is new prop, is it worth changing to a double cardon front to take out some of the harshness. Any duffers to avoid?.
