Sounds like you have 2 or 3 plugs failed. Don't buy cheapo's, stick to Beru, Bosch, Delphi or NGK
Spot on ! Thanks for your help. Got the job done, put NGK plugs in - turns out there were only two working. Testament to the otherwise good health of the motor that it would start at all I think. Diagnostics showed glow plug relay failure, but this may have been because it was warmed up when it was tested 'cos after new plugs were in it cleared and stayed clear. Anyway, very pleased with it - it now starts up, dare I say it, as easily as our TD5 Discovery! :boom:
