Possible electrical fault

I am looking for some guidance . This evening my 2006 td5 broke down . At the time i thought it was the fuel pump as i couldnt hear it coming on when i turned on the ignition . I have now noticed that neither the glow lamp heating indicator or engine management indicator lamp on the instrument cluster come on when i turn on the ignition . I was wondering if these things as well as the fuel pump are connected
This happened before but corrected itself shortly after , however it has never started with the same efficency since.
Hoping someone can offer some insight !
Incidentally when towing me home my dear wife ripped off the bullbars

Have you checked the red ECU plug for oil? Everything can be connected in a TD5! ;-)
