poor mpg and white smoke/misfiring HELP

Now actually found problem head off and piston 4 looks like brand new with a massive groove all the way around the bore ( engine dead I think) mislead by fault compression tester. Borrowed one and compression only 225 psi. Anyone know of a cheap engine in Doncaster. Lol. Thanks for all your words of wisdom. Would never have dreamed of taking head off but knew if it went wrong I had all the advise I needed on here. So big thanks to u all.
