Hi everyone. i just bought a second hand free lander 1999 2 litre turbo diesel 5 door. i have it now 1 month but 1 hour ago i drove somewhere and i heard my turbo (wich is new one month old) was making a noise. then out of desperation i stoped at a turbo mechanic and he took the pipe of going into the turbo(oil feeder pipe) . he made me start the engine and he showed me that the oil wasnt coming out fast enough. He then also told me that the turbo is broken and i have to fit a new turbo(without even him taking the turbo off. He just took the big pipe off and fiddled with his finger inside the turbo. Guys they want be back tommorow for oil compression test on the oil pump etc , but isnt there anything i can check before i take it , its e3xpensive. ... i dont believe my tubo is broken but im not an expert. please help ...im going away in 2 days with my freelander. nb is it possible that just a mere blockage of the pipes might be the cause.
