It sounds like it might have super locked itself have you tried resynchronising the key fob put in lock turn to lock and press lock button on remote then turn to unlock and press unlock button this should resynch key try this first, tiga

thanks tiga, tried that but did not work,i cant un lock door , but i took a small window out and pulled up all the buttons on the doors and still nothing, any other ideas, cheers tony b:confused:

hi tony why did you change the fuse box did it burn out, also stupid question have all the fuses in the new fuse box match the old fuse box none missing, you could try disconecting the battery again, will the car start, the passenger door on front should also lock and unlock all doors on the sill button if that 1 wont work you do have problems,it is possible to get door trim off not easy but possible any more info apprecited, tiga

hi tiga, fuse box got wet , after over heating, long story short had engine rebuilt, old fuse box wa very wet , so i changed it , check fuses all ok, passenger door has no key hole, cant get in to start car , should i break a window and try and start or take off door trim and romove rod but will engine still be imob`ed soory what is a sill button thanks tony b

HI tony it does sound like the car has super locked itself, the sill buttons are the ones on the door trims,if you lift these and try to pull the inside door release handle and door wont open its sounds like its super locked, trying to think whats best to do, you say you tried the eka code and it said eka lockout you could try disconecting the battery and letting it power down completely and then touch the 2 battery cables toegether to get rid of any risidule current, because without eka access and all doors locked not sure what else you can do i had 2 beat the drivers door lock off once to gain access due to super locking, when you try doing the eka code do indicators flash at start, also make sure battery is not flat will have another think good luck tiga

Tony, I had the exact problem with my 2002 HSE. Rino. initially I had a faulty Alternator, While awaiting a replacement to be delivered. I used my alternate key to access the truck. After replacing the Alternator, I could get my regular key to sync. after serval hours I remembered using the spare key. It synced immediately and released the super lock. FYI. I had the alarm, and the Gear fault register. Your key is not synced with the BBCUM.
I'm new to this so bear with me. But I felt this needed to be posted.

Hi All

Can I assume that with the key in the door, you cannot unlock anything by turning it?

Trying to ascertain whether we are talking lock issue or BECM issue?.

Thanks
Andy

hi andy
i can open the door but cant do nothing els:(

Have you entered the code correctly especially the first stage.

1. Using the ignition key insert it into the drivers door lock.
2. Turn the key anticlockwise to the locking position and back to the central position 4 times.
3. The first digit - Turn the key fully, as far as it can go, clockwise to the unlock position (only the drivers door will unlock) then back to the central upright position. This should be done the amount of times as the first digit on your security card.
4. The second digit - Turn the key fully, as far as it can go, anticlockwise to the lock position then back to the central, upright position. This should be done the amount of times as the second digit on your security card.
5. The third digit - Turn the key clockwise to the unlock position again, the number of times shown on the security card
6. The fourth digit - Turn the key anticlockwise to the lock position again, the number of times shown on the security card.
7. Once this has been completed turn the key to the unlock position once.

by the way the security code for North American RR's is a generic code that is 1515. the last guy to post before me has it down, that procedure has worked many times for me. thx

It's possible you have an issue with the drivers door lock. If the micro switch is not registering the key turns, you will not get anywhere. Can you confirm wether you get a indicator flash to affirm the start of the eka code input. If not then deffo the door switch, it's worth giving Gav Briggs a shout, he has some good advice on sorting these out for free, otherwise you are looking at £130 and a special order from LR.
