Please Help... Engine Problems...

I took my Discovery 200tdi off roading last weekend, all good had a great afternoon, unfortunately I was then away for a week so didn't get a chance to jet wash her off until today. Ooops.

But she has been started by a friend everyday with little hassle, now when I tried to turn her on at first this morning she made a "wincing" sound after a few goes she turned over fine and drove about no worries for about 10 minutes then she all of a sudden lost all power and was struggling to stay on sort of spluttering on idle. Then she was fine and I cleaned and hoovered her out ect....

Now when I try to turn her on she fires first time but will not stay on dies immediately after I have stopped turning the key. So I don't think it is the starter motor, so what is it.....

No leaks in your air intake is there that left water in is there?

Possibly lift pump too?
