please help a newbie

hi all i am new to your forum , i was hoping you could help me with my problem . I have a 1998 landrover freelander 1.8 xi(PETROL)
whilst driving quite happily today i noticed in all gears when i accelarate the car seems to hold/pull back (splutter) (i dont know how to describe it) for a split second before speeding up i noticed the fuel was really low so filled up this did not help i was wondering if you had any ideas thanks in advance

Hi, Although I run a diesel myself, I think it would be worth your while to change your fuel filter & add plenty of injection cleaner to your tank in case a load of crap was sucked into the fuel system during your low fuel spell.
Hopefully the petrol owners will come up with some other ideas. Good luck.

well today she has died she is sat in the middle of the road at the moment with my partner waiting for the rac to arrive to see whats wrong or hopefully at leaset tell us then tow her home i am so angry as we just sold my partners other car

well whoopie the rac have been and sorted it it was just the rota arm and has cost me £6.50

and in 9 minutes - is that a record?
