Have you got any quotes yet for when you're a full license holder? Friends kids have been shocked by how much it goes up.

Mine is £750 a year.. 17 Year Old, 110 200Tdi, 3rd Party F&T.

Parents insure alot with em, and would only take me on because i have family with em.

If i did not have a Landy i would be look at a classic car with Footman James (Only company that does Classic Policy for Under 21's i think?). My Best mate has a Triumph Herald 13/60 and pays £480 a year :cool:

My grandad had one of those until a year ago! I was seriously thinking about driving it. I built a lot of it up myself and when I sold it for him I made nearly a grand from it. Take away what was spent on it and he was almost £800 up on it.

What company are you with out of interest?

I have family with NFU (dad mum grand parents etc) and that Didnt make any difference, tried a policy with them for a 2.5 n/a 110 ( so not exactly a speed machine) and they quoted 5000. I'm 18 by the way and passed a year ago with a years no claims. I've rung every body. The whole Aidrien flux etc. Only people that would touch it is admiral and aviva. I don't know why, no logic. And I rang them all up several times to get this right. In the end I'm with aviva via a broker for 1600 on my 94 disco. The whole insurance malarkey is way outa hand.

Do you live in Centeral Bagdad or somewhere?! Defenders are normally so much cheaper to insure than a Disco..
