got rod off, got the ends out, can't shift adjuster, 'wd40'd' it, used some heat from a blow torch, used stilsons/vice etc and whacked it , now soaking over night in diesel... traking would be tricky without I expect...
I measured from centres of ends to start of rod and was just under 30mm

Do remember that the track rod ends (ball joints) have different threads. On one side it's a LH thread and on the other end it's a std RH thread. Make sure that you're not trying to tightening it, when you think you are trying to undo it:mad::(

Got it!
A night soaked in diesel, two stilsons, one with my foot on the the other with all my body weight and bit by bit it went

got it in, needs tracking i think, bloody nicked the gaitors tho when making in the ends with grips!! just ever so slightly where the spring clip goes round, mate said smear bit of silicone over...****ed off!!

Just fitted these, they dont seem to go down as much as the previous ones, I have tightened until fairly tight??

Gents
Could I please confirm that the nui and allen key mentioned is the one on the top of the steering box as you look down onto it when standing next to the offside wing?
I've WD40'd it as it didn't want to move and then had a pause as I noticed that the allen key seems to be filled with something rubbery

Thanks
Jon

Chock wheels, front in air and undo lock nut. Adjust so it removes play without tight spot and lock off lock nut
