I'm in the process of registering another tdi 300 here in France..

Does anyone else have a metal id plaque under the bonnet with just a reference number (SALLNAAE....)etc? ie. I have nothing showing in the four weight column boxes on this 7 seater 5 door.

My other 3-door already registered here has a reference number and weights marked in all four boxes.

Hello Harold,
the plate under the bonnet on my 1996 300Tdi disco only has the serial no, nothing else.
Only thing I can think of is that my Disco is a Japanese import and possibly the weights were not needed to be put on by Landrover.

cheers

Our 1996 auto does not have any thing on the plate other than the chassis number. The form you get from Land Rover France gives all the information the French registration folks need.

mine just has chassis number and paint code - no wieghts just the KG letters printed down the left hand side and no trim code either, its a uk model.

hello harold
just go to your local DREAL office and get the vehicle id papers it cost me 67 euros for mine because it comes under the national type not CoC certifacat de conformitié
and the go straight to prefecture to register as you probably already know
