Hi all,
i need to replace the swivel balls on my '93 LSE... the fantasticchaps at my local independant garage said that there are teflon coated units now available that last longer but i am concerned that they might be a bit modern for the old girl... originals are obviously chrome with open bath lubrication... should i stay original but with the one-shot grease or take advantage of the new teflon option?
I dont want to affect any potential value if i ever decide to sell it and being an LSE it isnt like there's thousands about anymore.

opinions appreciated.

Jim

The new teflon ones still use the one shot grease and are fitted and are identical to the originals but instead of chrome, they are teflon coated and dark coloured.

On the Defender there are gaiters available that prevent stone chips etc which is what kills the swivels....I am sure they will also fit the Classic considering they are almost identical!

As above, never heard a good word said about the teflon ones. Get a pair off someone breaking a disco.
