Pirelli scorpion S/T

Hi,
Anyone tried these tyres as iam looking to replace my synchrones and
i am getting stuck in the price over quality decision.
The best price i have found is with Kwik Fit online at £310 for 4 scorpion S/T' s
But are they as good as synchrones?

check out tyres online @ mytyres.co.uk: cheap passenger, summer, winter tyres and tyre dealer.

You'll get a pop up tyre test for most brands whatever size you put in the search box.

(may get a better price too)

you should get a good deal cos they dont make the S/T anymore.

It was replaced by the STR

im using STs on the front but had to put new STRs on the rear on 17 alloys

good tyres - had no trouble in the snow and stuff

tread pattern doesnt look as aggressive as the ST though

Like one previous member said, they dont make the S/T anymore. I went for some Toyo Proxes S/T and have found them to be very good on the road and handle very well on mildly muddy, gravelly tracks as well. I used a company called Event Tyres who come out to you and fit them at your work or home and i saved 12% on the cheapest price i could find at any of the local small or big companies.

Thanks for replies, kwik fit have them on their online sales site in the size 215/65/16 special offer 4 tyres £ 310 all in book and pay online, i have rung my local branch to check and the guy said they need a day to get them and its £ 346 all in.
I agree with c13tay they do look aggressive but they claim to be quiet and good on the road as well, any other options before i take the plunge?

Bought two STRs in this size two months ago, paid £98 each after trying quite a few outlets. Very surprised KwikFit are competitive. Very pleased with STRs for their low noise, as good as my previous Michelins.

Don't be persuaded to buy an exhaust , brake discs and four shockers when you go in to get them done. :blabla:

I used to have these on my Rav-4. They are good grippy tyres & last a long time before needing replaced.
