bearings will be preloaded when you retighten flange , they use a shim between the bearings , so it only matters that nuts tight, though if you have a torque wrench use it ,but its not essential

front ftc5258I know it's an old thread but since I got a fairly similar question as smbaker above, I figured we don't need a new thread.
So I also need to replace that seal. It's a 2005 110 TD5 Defender and that oil is coming out of the diff right where the prop shaft sits.
What exact seal do I need?
is it salisbury or a short nose rover typeThanks James but it's the rear diff that's leaking! Same seal?
