Pikeys Heap

Went to workshop today, spent a couple of hrs with a wirecup brush on a grinder. also turned the chassis over so I could get a good look at the underneath of it. Apart from the arse end and behind 1 rear spring mount. It's in pretty good nick. couple of tiny holes at at bottom of chassis below Aframe cross member. Usual place to rot out due to mud & water collecting there.

That's all I found. Beside the rear section that has to be replaced anyway.

Oh to have a place like that to work in .

Edited for accuracy. It took me 8 trips to the tip before I could get at the chassis and lay it flat.


Also there's the problem of the door. It's only 3ft wide So feck knows how I'm gonna drive it out once it's finished :frown:

Need to stop saving every little bit of wood cable & pipework, Just in case?? Leave the ****e with the client at the end of the job. & make the next client buy all new stuff

I know the grinder is crap BUT!! I've got a 100mm Twisted wire cup brush on it to get the rust off and clean chassis. & by the time I've finished with it, it'll be fooked cos the cup brushes fook em up big time. & As I got it from B&Q I can just take it back and get a refund.

Whaaaaaaaa, I has broken my interwebs .....

Been to workshop again and done another 2 trips to the tip. Have started making an hole in all the ****e upstairs. Got rid of a couple of caravan Awnings and a stack of caravan cushions. I've had all my books and personal effects stored there. But Damp/mice/dust has got to a lot of the stuff so need to bin a lot of it, Shame as all my books are there & they is started to curl up and go mouldy. Loads of camping gear I'm not gonna use anymore can go as well.

Chopped up and took 6 bags of wood yesterday and didn't even make a dent in the pile. ....

Nowt worth getting wet panties over. Just pots and pans and the like. Old coolbags that sort of stuff.

Thou I do have one small 2 man tent A Blacks Grus jobby you can have for a tenner.

Another 2 trips to the tip today and a bit of a move around in the workshop. Starting to get it sorted now.
