My old RRC with 4" lift in 2005.



Most people had gone through the other way leaving "submerged ruts". I drove in and the axle grounded leaving the front wheels suspended. I was towed out and within ten minutes the big ends had gone.

Nice range rover that is!!!!

Getting pulled out on the Yorkshire Dales .. ruts were deep, with no real base to them and both diffs caught up on the centre raised bits ..

Can remember when he did it (wasn't there, on the forum I mean) but not the discussion/****-take .. think it was just a small moment of inattention, nothing stupid and not being silly, just unfortunate ...

Was.

It had a new 3.9 in to replace the one with muddy big ends. After 12 months I had it back from the garage and it wasn't right. Did 100 miles and took the decision to break it.

Kept a few bits but most of it is bolted onto othe RRCs.

That one is in Wales in a forestry area but I can't remember the name of the lane lol
