Hi All, I've had my Freelander 2 XS TD4 2.2 Diesel for over a year now, but with lack of use during lockdown the battery went low and now the Phone won't connect, the Sat Nav won't work (just says acquiring signal) and the Radio won't connect to any channels (Although DAB works). I've fitted a new battery and everything else seems to work fine. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this sorted? I've had an auto electrician look at it, but he couldn't offer a solution.

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately I haven't got or ever used a code reader. What reader would you recommend for a 2013 Freelander 2 Diesel?

The cheapest dedicated code reader for Land Rover's is the Icarsoft I930. It's pretty basic, and has some design quirks, but it'll read every module in the FL2 (my 58 plate SE has 19:eek:), and it'll tell you what modules aren't working or responding, as well as clearing any codes.

Thanks again for your comments. Seems like a code reader might be a good investment.

Definitely with the FL2, and any other modern LR. The cost of one diagnostic read at a dealer is going to cost more than the I930, and you'll be surprised how often you'll need to use it.
I have 4 different options for LR code reading, as these are very complex vehicles electronically.

Using a iCarsoft LR V1.0 I've found a number of code errors, so just finding my way through this. At least it showed me that a rear number plate bulb had gone!
My problem seems to be related to the MOST system, but I was wondering if anyone can advise on my next course of action?
The following are the some of the fault codes:

Front control-display interface module(high level display front)
U0184 - Lost communication with audio unit
U1A24 - MOST ring complete, no communication
B1D21 - Remote control switch

Body Control module
B112C - Interior motion sensor
U0164 - Lost communication with heating ventilation and air conditioning control module
B12E8 - Liftgate/tailgate control/release switch
B111A - Number plate lamps
B1311 - Clock module

The MOST ring codes are relevant, but finding the cause could be difficult. Start off by checking the connections at the back of the stereo and nav screen.

Did you clear the codes?

Oddly the BCM monitors the bulbs, but doesn't display them to the driver, which is really silly. It would have been so easy for LR to add a bit of code that displays the necessary information to the driver, but they didn't, so you actully need to plug in a diagnostic unit to know which bulbs are at fault, or you could just check in the old fashioned way.
