Phone not working

I have the same problem as "bluesman".
I have just had a 2014 freelander 2 td4 s, and no matter what I try I cannot get the phone to work. I have a button marked Phone and the green and red buttons on the dash but I cannot get anything to happen when I press them, what am I doing wrong?

Hi, it's either the car or my lack of knowing what I'm doing that will not give me the facility to SYNC.
The phone is an iPhone made by a company called APPLE.
The button marked PHONE on the dash doesn't do anything, the green button on the dash with handset symbol on it doesn't do anything and the red button on the dash with a handset symbol on it doesn't do anything.

How do I sync?

The date is immaterial , I still have the problem that I cannot get the phone to work.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe it’s not working on the car, or never was on the car but they updated SW?
