Hi all, I tried to connect my phone & eventually after saying No phone found, I got it to connect with pin number. But then I went to the shops then when I returned the phone didn't show & then no phone paired. So I tried again and every time it asked me to put the pin number in it went off then said no fine found.
It's a 2008 freelander 2

Some phones don't seem compatible, especially as the Freelander system is almost 20 years old.
My 4 year old Samsung Note 9 works fine, but not all phones are as backwards compatible as mine.

I've had it connected and working but when I turned engine off then came back later my phone was no longer connected
Seems strange that. Maybe there's a fault with the BT module, which can be troublesome.

Mine automatically connects whenever I get in the vehicle.

If I want to use my IID BT, I actually have to disconnect the car and my watch, as the IID doesn't like a shared BT connection.

Presuming you have a USB connector available in the centre console, have you tried connecting with a cable? I use this even though I am able to connect with Bluetooth just to ensure I keep the phone battery topped up.
I've managed to connect it and works but as soon as I turn the ignition off it forgets the phone & I've got to start again.
And no I haven't got a USB fitted yet. ??????
