just add a couple of ltrs of it to your tank every fill up, you'll soon get rid of it

you have to drain the fuel, disconnect fuel injector lines and prime the system to purge out the petro in the lines ad then change fuel filters

If you have drained it all and refilled the tank with diesel then if its still running OK you have got away with it. The only sugestion I have is not to try it again you may not be so lucky next time.;)

Depends how much petrol was in it - any more than 15% petrol to diesel and I`d seriously think about flushing the system and changing the filters, less than 15% and only three (presumably reasonably gentle) miles you might be okay>

I don't know about the TD5 but on my Renault Senic 1.9tdi I did it twice. The first time i drained the tank and just refilled it with diesel, the second time I just drove slowly for 200 miles then filled the tank with diesel and carried on , business as normal. I put another 200K KLM on the engine which already had over 100K klm on it. I sold the car with over 300K klm and it was still going strong. Never used any oil in between services etc.

If its running OK then dont worry about it. The TD5 constantly circulates fuel through the system and back to the tank so any remaining petrol has long mixed into the diesel.
Having said that you were lucky. Dont do it again. How much petrol did you put in and how much diesel was already in the tank? Did the engine stop running before you realised what you had done? Only thing I would do is get a new fuel filter and keep it handy as the petrol can dislodge any sludge in your tank.
