I recently put an almost empty plastic petrol can in the back of my L322 Range Rover, with the intention of filling it up the next time I fuelled up the car.
The inside of the car smelled strongly of petrol.
One day, the alarm went off for no reason. I reset it and locked the car. A coup,e of hours later, it went off again. This time, started the car to chaeck for any computer faults with the "CHECK" function and found nothing. I locked her up and everything was OK.
The next day, the alarm went off again. I removed the petrol can and left the doors open for a while, then locked the car.
Since then, everything has been fine.
I can only assume that the build up of fumes inside the vehicle triggered the alarm sensor.
What do you guys think???
