wot catching illegal offroaders :doh::doh: ye wanna try catching some w*****s on ebay selling ringers....................

ye no real crime

I have just moved from a very busy station where we caught a good number of car thieves to a very small rural area that only have 1 patrol car the rest of the vehicles are defenders, gaylanders, or discos. I have to do the 4x4 course in order to drive them. Plus we get a lot of stolen landys round here who make off across fields. So yes i do need off road driving

I hope you get to successfully put your training to good use then.;):)

Out of curiosity I'm guessing that you didn't do 'high speed driving while offroad' as part of your course? The only reason I say that is cos I'm pretty sure a landy thief in a stolen vehicle will outrun a police landrover offroad. Not because of lack of your ability but more due to the lack of respect for other peoples property.:(

I get to drive off-road quite a bit too - sadly though, not with my Landie, just my Daf XF105 artic!

It's fun in winter around Inverness or Turriff though!
