I have looked at the how to find looks a bit of a grey area lol so don't see why people wouldn't give them away seen as they are public but each to their own and that I would get the brother in law or dad to tag in with me but they are standard pajero and a standard patrol on at tyres

Mat plz don't take offence when you come out with us you will see what damage a lot of peeps have done we will loose all lanes one day enjoy em n respect em will make last !! Once been with a good group of laners who talk to walkers horse riders etc who keep it all friendly for all you will like us protect your lanes

Mark, if you sort out where you want to go, I'll .....

....ask Pete to lead Rofl !!!!!

Pete, Sal asks if Louise is going
hahaha! i dont mind leading, .....ive too got a sh*te memory though! ive got some on my memory map on my phone, trouble is the screen is like 1'x 2' so somtimes not easy to read as your getting thrown around!
dunno if louise is goin yet i havnt told her!! :D

I understand that pal and I don't easily offend lol

I have no problem with walkers / horses sharing routes it's just a case of I wanna get a little bit of experience before I go play out with the big boys :) if not will feel a total noob

honestly, david and mark arnt being funny with you, they are 2 of the nicest blokes you will ever meet, the reasons behind just giving out locations is that you could be anyone and untill they meet you and go out for the day they dont know you from adam. it takes alot of work and research to check the legality of lanes but if you come on a day out theres nothing stopping you from mapping it down yourself. if you can by anychance make sunday i guarantee you will have an awsome day and do some cracking lanes!

haha i know what your saying matt, everyone starts somwhere though! the first time i met david and mark was last january in 3ft of snow! and i was a total noob! first time laning! and went down stanage edge! never looked back scince!!!! love it

Matt, the other problem with laning nowadays is the constant chopping and changing of whether rights of way are legally drivable at any given time. I was a well seasoned laner back in the day but a few years away from it and you soon lose touch of what is what.

This is the reason that lanes get closed.... People can easily use a lane that for all intents and purposes was legal last month but isn't at present. This just gives ammunition to the Bobble hats in their constant quest in getting us banned from ALL lanes and byways.
The time and effort the guys who post up invites on here for a trip out put in just to check the routes are legal, shouldn't be under estimated mate, hence the reluctance to
post on an open forum there whereabouts.
You could easily end up with 100's of extra vehicles using the routes and unfortunately the few idiots that stray off route and show no respect to other users only bolster LZ members refusal to list routes.

Hope that helps explain the situation mate and look forward to meeting when you can tag along.

Cheers,
Nick.

I have my 2 year old son on Sunday and although I think he may love it I think it may put him off the lr if he don't lol

Also I am on a really tight budget ATM so fuel is a slight issue as the Landy ain't the lightest of drinkers

I have heard dingle lane is a nice easy route in chesterfield near calow does anyone know of it looks to me like its a lane linking a few farms n that

thanks for the understanding matt and not blowing your top like most do when they dont get the info they want, just keep an eye on the laning section and when a run comes up that you can manage get your name down! people will share what they know the more you get to know em ;)
as for you young un, he may be a little young yet for some of the rougher lanes, i somtimes take my 4yr old girl and she sometimes gets a little upset if the car goes with a bang! (the last time i went down hollinsclough!....thanks dave!!!) lol

You've already successfully avoided looking a Knob in my opinion by not being argumentative or bolshy on here when told sorry, but no, regarding lane locations.

Also, when you do venture with us, we all now know our a Noobie and you'll get looked after as such. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask when out and unsure whilst learning.

Welcome aboard mate.

Edit:- Must type faster....

Just had to give up on a full weekend laning trip due to time constraints but am now thinking about just a quick trip on Sunday.

So I popped into the laning section and, well, here we are!! :D

I admit i was fancying running up to the lakes but Derbyshire is certainly a cost save! :p

Car is still half broke at the moment so nothing is for definite, but would like to keep in the loop on this one!! :)
