i am looking to buy a pc tablet,so i can load memory map onto it and use that to drive green lanes, saw 300tdistus setup in action on sunday and it impressed me! what should i get? anybody else use something along these lines? any info greatly recieved,oh and i want to spend about £100 :D

I dont have one no.

I have a moto Xoom £500+

But this is the first budget Tablet I've seen with a decent processor that could actually run anything worth running.

Was looking at getting a couple for work the other week, for the sales team, to knock up quotes and invoices on whilst on the move.

have a look here
mio 168 | eBay

its a mio 168 basicly a old style windowd mobile pc about eh size of an iphone
for about £30 or less
I have one It has built in GPS but no wifi or bluetooth can stick a mini sd card in upto 2 gig
I have memorymap and tomtom running on it
not the biggest of screens but its just right
here is an old review

usually you get a data lead for it (usb) and memorymap will reconsie a mobile pc to you can install memorymap on it ( uses active sync)
you can also upload maps straight to it vai memory map or upload them to the sd card in a reader then stick the card back in the handheld which is quicker

ive just been out to car and taken a couple of pics for you not as good quality as i would like

yes thats mm on the screen
you can also import all your tracks and routes from pc onto it. Also Ive used it to record my route when i have been out with others greenlaning.

you can also get a screen to comeup which shows your speed and location ie British grid reference and height

only one drawback dono let the battery go flat as you will have to reinstall mm again. so when mines not in use its sat at home plugged into charger. instandby mode batt lasts about 8 to 12 hours

There is a 3rd party app for Android and mm are making one. They already have one for iPhone.
