Passing on the Police message that was sent to the LRO Club

Hi

I am contacting you to let you and your members aware that the theft of Defenders is rife again, particularly in the Rochdale, Bury and Rawtenstall area and also Halifax area. In Rochdale we had 4 taken in 6 days and Halifax police have reported 48 stolen in the last 3 months. We are asking owners to be extra vigilant when parking their vehicles up whether it be outside their home or elsewhere and to report any suspicious activity. We also advise to speak to neighbours and ask them to be extra vigilante. If they have been offered any vehicle parts that they have doubts about to also contact their local police.

Me neither iv just got a pedal lock now to get my landy a bit more secure. Must be an awful feeling getting one stolen

No point in saying anything to my neighbours. My van got broken into on a Saturday morning at 6.10am. two windows smashed. how do i know it was 6.10am? because two of my neighbours told me thats when they heard the smash.. did they call the police? no. did they call me? (from the number on the van) no. I got a text from someone at about 11am... they thought it was me getting into my van and going to work... useless

thanks for the heads up, not too far away from me either!!

This problem just keeps on getting worse.
