Hi all.

Seems the button pack might be faulty as the same happens with the rear passenger window however, the switch on the rear door operates correctly.

Is there anything in Nanocom that will let me wind the px window back up? Don't fancy leaving it open over night with the recent weather!

Thanks

You can operate the windows with Nanocom, you can also close them with the lazy locking feature, hold the lock button pressed on the FOB for 5 seconds when locking the car and all open windows should close.

Hey Keith, long time

Tried the lazy locking but wasn't working. Managed to find the windows bit in BECM and outputs for Windows. Thanks :)

Haha, sort of!

I haven't really been driving it a huge amount over the past year as I've been silly busy with other stuff and using the daily.
It has been sat for quite a while so was treated to a new battery a few months ago.. Which then went flat so charged it up again. Need to sort the drain.

Was slightly amusing as with the dodgy battery, it would randomly decide to speak German instead of English.

Need to sort the cooling again - had to replace the matric orings last year and since then it never seems to get up to temp, always sitting just above blue. Was bled properly so not sure what it's moaning about. Then just some wee niggles and, now, possibly a switch pack!

All good fun.. Though I'll most likely part ways with it towards the end of the year. Need to slim down the number of cars or get myself a weekend toy. Or a newer RR haha.

Where have you been hiding? The car couldn't have been behaving itself could it? :D

Duff thermostat for the low temperature.
The switch pack is fixable, if you are lucky a good squirt of contact cleaner (NOT WD40) whilst activating the switch may do it, otherwise it's a strip down.

Yeah, think it's a strip down.

I've got a replacement thermostat sitting in the garage that I'll most likely put on.. Though I have had it for a good 6-9 months so who knows when!

Got a mini to fix too, daughters first car

Domino - it's worth checking the actual temp that the engine's running at. The middle of the gauge goes from about 85 degrees to 105 degrees - may just be that your gauge's "middle" needs adjusting and the op temp is perfectly normal. Or the coolant sensor is not giving you a good temperature (there are two - one for the ECM and one for the gauge- your nano will give you the temp of the ECM one, fyi. If it is the system, then I wd tend to go for the viscous fan failing in a locked state (easily tested), rather than the thermostat since an early opening T/stat slows down the heating-up process, but won't ultimately alter the equilibrium temp. The only way the heater matrix could have anything to do with this is if it is acting a s secondary cooling matrix, but I guess you would notice in this weather if you have hot air pumping from the vents : o) Is the a/c system behaving ie not triggering the electric cooling fans?

Test the thermostat in hot water before fitting, here are a lot of duff ones about.
