Hi my range rover P38 (98) dieslpassenger side window and mirror don't work all other window work previous owner has problems with lock mechanism on passenger side so been disconnected sprayed connection with wd40 nothing changed outstation it worked but few days later had rain it stopped working then worked and now nothing at all got power but window and mirror still not working any ideas please

From what you are reporting it is most likely bad connections somewhere.
WD 40 isn't really a cleaner for electrical connections.
Any sign of blue/green staining on any of the connectors or terminals you can see in the door cavity?
Any wetness in the front floor carpets or near the BeCM under the drivers seat?

Maybe a problem with the momentary switches in the centre consul switch pack.
When you push switch down to open nothing but when you push switch up to close it brrps and says left front window not set I have a spare range rover and will try the switch consul out of my other range rover thanks

No not wet or any discoloration on wires

Then like Wammers said check the switches i nthe centre console.
Q. Do the door switches work but not the centre console or vice-versa, or NOTHING works at all?
I ask because my P/S/R window goes DOWN from the Centre Console (but not up), whereas the actual door-switch works in both directions.

You have to run the window down then up to set it. Sounds very much like i hit the nail directly on the head.

That is the momentary switches, they can be stripped and cleaned but it's a ball ache of a job. To remove suspect switch carefully cut the black tangs at the back of it off flush. Switch should then pull out. You will then see two contacts one for up one for down. Cut the clear film and remove them. Clean contacts and coat contacts ONLY with a very small amount of conductive grease then carefully replace and use one side of some double sided clear tape, to hold them in position on board. Then peel back protection on top of double sided tape and push switch back in, tape will also hold switch in place.
