hi all. i have a whirling whirring sounds coming from the front passenger side around the footwell. no judder or vibration though im guessing it has something to do with the driveshaft, maybe the bearing or a gearbox bearing. seems to rise and fall with the engine though and not the wheel speed so maybe its something totally different?

havnt yet had a chance to get it off the ground and give it all a good wiggle so just wondering if anyone knows anything else that side that it might be?

cheers neil

Clutch release bearing is the most likely cause,
followed by gearbox input bearing (Manual only). What engine? Manual or auto?

have you checked the diff bearings as you get a whine from them when they are on the way out and you get the noise in the foot well area

i have changed the vcu about 1500 miles ago and i was waiting for the other worn bits to show up. do mean bearings at the prop end or the half shafts? are they both visibly wiggleable?
