Good afternoon,
New to this site and wondered if anyone has had the same issue.
I have a 2009 RR Sport TDV8
The passenger seat belt warner chimes when the seat is empty, I can stop it by attaching the belt, but this is a pain to do all the time.
Does anyone have a fix for this or can anyone point me to the fault to research please?

Welcome first:).
Sounds like the seat occupancy sensor(or whatever its called) is playing up.

I can put a bag of shopping on the passenger seat and the car insists it needs a seat belt on:rolleyes:.

So I guess thats a starting place to look under the seat;).

Put the ign on, then try plugging and unplugging the seat belt clip 9 x times in succession , it should then shut the seat occupancy sensor up

has to be done in less than 1 x minute, hopefully it will also work on the RRS like it does on the D3

Thank you for the pointers. Apologies for the lack of reply to your advice. Having put the post on my life went manic for a few days! All caught up and back to the important stuff of fixing the RRS!
I will try the 9 times, on the D3 does that fully disable long term or is it an each trip task?
as for the sensor….I’m looking

Ok that's it, either I need to wear my readers more, or manufacturers need to stop putting useless things in vehs. I read the heading twice, and still thought "seatbelt warmer? What the hell for? Who needs a warm seatbelt?"
Yes I need to put my glasses on, but if manufacturers weren't constantly adding useless pieces of tech, I wouldn't have entertained the thought of a seatbelt warmer :D

Think occupancy sensor is built into the heated seat pad?
Ah, all copied. Fiddled about under the seat looking, following wires etc and it stopped for a few miles yesterday, but then started again. Not tried the 9 times yet, something for this week when Mrs isn’t with me. Thanks for the advice.
