Good morning, I know this must have been asked a million times on here but I can't find it.
My series 3 needs a passenger footwell replacing, how much would I be looking at(If anyone has had it done recently) to have it replaced, I've found a replacement footwell, just need the welding done.

Dunno really, never paid anyone to do anything on my Landy but you will be pleased to know that the passenger side is less work than the other side, not sure if the heater has to come off though.
Not had a series for 16yrs.

Depending how bad the footwell is, you can rivet or bolt a panel in rather than replace the whole thing. A previous owner has replaced the driver side on mine but they didn't bother to weld the side section, lazy bastard.

When I was looking to buy a Landy I saw one that needed new footwells and tried to get a price from a few places, they all said they'd want to see the Landy first as it would depend on what (potential) other work was involved.

One of them said if the footwells weren't too bad they'd only need to cut a section or the repair panels and weld them in, instead of replacing the whole section.

I will need some other welding work to my bulkhead in the future and am wondering about getting some tuition on welding and doing it myself.....

Welding is just down to practice and having the correct machine.
A pro wouldn’t use a crappy little clark to do a good job so it’s doubtful you’d manage a good weld with one. It’s less difficult to get away with it if you can avoid blowing holes and spend time with the grinder to clean things up.
