Since I've had my P38, the passenger door lock has never worked on the central locking so I've always had to unlock it from the inside. Moving the passenger door pin up and down however, does seem to work the central locking for the rest of the car. Does the whole lock unit need replacing and if so, which version do I need for a 1998 car? Thanks!

Edited to add : would this be correct? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Passenger...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35c48ac662

Yep, that's the same symptoms as I had, wouldn't lock or unlock using the central locking but manually it would lock and do all other doors. I just did mine this weekend, although I didn't buy a passenger one I bought a one for the rear and simply swapped the motors on the inside. Works perfectly now though. It probably burnt out if you had a dodgy RF receiver in there in the past, that's what caused mine to go.

I'm not sure which type you need but I know my 1995 is the same type on there with the wire sticking out.

Cheers. I've gone ahead and ordered that now.
