Take it to Liverpool or Manchester. Park it in a side street or even in front of John Lewis's in broad daylight and leave a laptop on the passenger seat. The door will be open in less than the time it takes you to walk around the next corner. Other than that get a slim jim. Car thieves and vagabonds will be on shortly to tell you what to do. I am too law abiding to know about such things.:D:D:D

you can get the door card off, with out opening the door but its slow and you must take great care. unless you can find a repacement door card..

Thanks guys, I think I will try the second option first as it will cost more in fuel to manchester/liverpool and back than what I paid for the RR in the first place

You will probably have to break the lock as its probably superlacked but first of all try winding the window down and get a piece of flat wood and try to operate the mechanism down the window

Same happened to mine and ended up breaking out the lock. Run window fully down, shine in with a bright torch and locate the lock, get an old bit of towel and put that over the door with a couple of inches pushed down into the gap to protect the window then with a long sharp punch (I used an 18" long 1/2" x 1/2" piece of steel sharpened at a 45 degree angle at one end) look for the chamfered black plastic edge on the lock and break it out until a long spring appears, pull that out and my door just openend ready to change the lock. There is a better description in range rover net. Was not that difficult a job, found putting the new one in a bit fiddly but not too difficult. Hope this helps.

had similar problem on my drivers door which was due to the internal door latch not fully returning home. wind down window, shine a torch through gap at lock area, you should see a white plastic lever with the internal door latch cable attached, with a long screwdriver or another long item place it through the gap inbetween the window and push down on the white lever ,if it goes down it should have released the catch and the door should open.spray pleanty of wd around latch and make sure cable is sat in all its holders and running true. hope it helps Phil...
