Hi again, so i need a few parts to get my freelander mot ready, namely the bottom arm ball joiints and the anti roll bar bushes, could one of you lovely people please point me in the right direction to buy these parts online for a decent price? direct links much appreciated, or if you cant be assed just the name of a good site would also be very helpful, thanks muchly in advance :)

b y bottom arm do you mean the wish bone ball joint if you do it is as easy to reaplace the whole thing look on ebay hope this helps

Paddock Spares, Rimmer Bros, MM 4x4, Famous Four LR supplies and of course ebay - find the part you need, compare prices and off you go matey :).

I did Google that Nathan I'm not a complete imbecile but am not sure exactly what I'm looking for or what's a good price hence me asking for help, thanks for the input though much appreciated (please feel free to pick up on my sarcasm there). Teddy it might be that I'll have to ask my dad to make sure thanks very much. Wljayne thanks for those sites I'll be looking through this afternoon, thanks again.

Hi Helen,

Some nice anti roll bar bushes here - much better than the cheap rubber ones whch will just wear out again.

Lots of ball joints here though I think the black ones are made by Britpart and may not be of great quality. Someone who's replaced these will know which ones to get :). Rimmer bros has them here, that's the RH one but I'm sure you can get the LH one too. Genuine LR and pretty pricey. I think it's better to determine which aftermarket one is the better quality.

So I take it that you're sticking to your Freelander then :)? Good, wise decision - you'll get lots of help here once you get past the banter, just always remember to brinf your rhino skin coat :D.

Will.

Personally, I'd replace the complete wishbones, the labour is less, you get new ball joints and new bushes. I'd start with the likes of paddock spares, cheapest aren't always a wise move especially off eBay, you can end up with eastern European or Chinese crap. I'd go to a reputable supplier and ask for OE (original equipment) wishbones. Yes shop around to find the cheapest, but that way you'll get a quality part at a sensible price that'll last as long as the original one did. They are a wear and tear item but I'd suspect they'd last as long as you own the vehicle at least;) W

I be tempted to say that this goes for pretty much all the repairs that you'll do to. You're probably the first owner who's given a hoot about its well being since it's first owner.
