I've noticed a small water leak in my engine (300tdi disco) , On the right hand side of the engine block where the main housing for the water pump etc is attached, I assume there's a gasket there (or not in my case) just don't know what it's called

P gasket.

This gasket ought to be done when a water pump is being done, the reason being that 3 of the bolts are shared, it tends to let the pump housing come away from the block slightly and then leak.

I would strongly suggest getting it done ASAP - many 300tdi's have died because of this leak getting worse, or through low water level and overheating.

I am gonna replace the waterpump at the same time as I've got a brand new one in the garage. I'll get that done soon as the gasket arrives.
