Hi

Just wondering if anyone can help shed some light...

I think i have found the problem to the flooded freelander..!!!!!!

We found an electrical board that is o the rear of the internal fuse box on the drivers side. It is showing signs of water contamination. So it has now been dried and wd 40 ed. But we are still having the same firing problems.

it is made by lucas with the folowing information on it.

It is a black plastic box containing an electronic circuit board.
It is labelled as lucas with the following information and coades on it.

Lucas Type 27vt/6ec energising coil. 125 kHZ I-ETS-300-330

GB MPT 1337 W.T. License Exempt.

On the other sticker is the following information

YMC 106080
27VT CCU
52010469D
04/09

ABS<

LUCAS Trademark.
I believe this is what is stopping my car from firing up after a 1/2 second turn over.

I have searched craddocks, and paddocks for said part, and even tried the landrover site, but the car is to old. Our nearest franchise is 40 mins drive away, and trying to explain in italian might be a bit tricky.
I have sent an email enquiry to paddock spares and i am awaiting if they can help and assist.

Could any of you guys and girls out there maybe give us a hand to track it down or give some info on where to go to find it on the net.

I am not privy to a landrover mag, so i could call up advertisers, so any help or contacts would be great.

Sorry for all the blah but i need the car to get back to the uk within the next month or so.:blah:

Thanking in advance

Gill & Graham + one very poorly freelander.:(

errrr - i can recognise one relevant point of that:-
GB MPT 1337 W.T. License Exempt.

this is the remote control locking / immobiliser thingy whatever wt exempt is the wireless telegraphy act which covers radio transmitting devices in the uk.

so perhaps some central control unit?
